Anastasia has been, in one capacity or another, an artisan and teacher throughout life. She has worked as a camp counselor and director, passing on the art of the friendship bracelet, sand sculpting, and camp song revelry. She has worked as an editor, and as a volunteer secretary, sharing her passion for crafting the written word. She ran programs for the YMCA, using her skills to design marketing materials and logo apparel for her programs. She is currently in a perfect state of balance, passing on her love of everything craft to two crafty boys, making her own jewelry and accessories, and sharing the love of art to a gaggle of preschoolers, and to anyone else who wants to learn.
Her favorite “artsy” subjects to teach are repurposed art, fabric and paper art, the good ol’ friendship bracelet, and, of course, “it’s the process, not the product” art that requires lots of messiness, giggles, and cooperation.
