Gail Patak is currently one of the Executive Chef's at Darbster. Her journey has taken her down a number of paths, however, her creativity rolled back to the food industry as she developed bakery and coffee house products with an emphasis on vegetarian items. Within Blue Pepper Gourmet Market in Fort Myers, FL and Island Bakehouse on Sanibel Island, and Kitchen On George in Mobile, AL. She developed all food products in addition to writing training manuals, setting up menus for off-premise caterings and events, and designing theme parties. As the event planning began to flourish, Gail began her own company, Creatif Events by Gail, in Birmingham, AL where she executed corporate Holiday events from planning, set up, and completion while developing the menus to coordinate with the themes. During the menu creation, she developed vegan savory and traditional dessert items as healthy alternatives.
As Executive Chef and owner of Garden Truck Café in Jacksonville, Gail created a diverse plant based menu emphasizing healthy comfort foods, with an emphasis on utilizing local produce and businesses. After closing Garden Truck, she began a new adventure as the Executive Chef of Darbster, West Palm Beach. Gail has been living a plant based lifestyle for 9 years, while sharing her love of healthy living and the amazing nutrition and healing properties of plant based foods.
